GDT Announcement - Give a girl a....

Yesterday I came home from a wonderful vacation in Orlando, FL. I've spend almost 3 weeks there and, again, it was so much fun and I really enjoyed the weather! Now being back home, where it's still cold and rainy, I'm feeling a little sad and I miss my flip flops....but on the other hand, I also missed scrapping. So between all the laundry I have to do this weekend, I'll really enjoy sitting at my desk again and make some new stuff.

Today I can also share some fun news with you: for the next couple of months I'll be guest designing for Give a girl a...! Give a girl a... is a small stamp company from Australia and I'm just in love with their stamps. Check out the online store where you can find all of their stamps, as well as monthly subscriptions. I'm really excited that Kellie is having me on her GDT and I can't wait to start sharing some work made with these stamps!

Monday I'll be back to announce the winners of my Vacay giveaway and the Paper Issues Birthday Celebration giveaway. You still have a chance for both of these to win!!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

DT Life.Paper.Scrapbook - April Color Challenge

for my giveaway

Today at Life.Paper.Scrapbook we are up with the April color challenge and we have some beautiful bright colors for you!

For this color challenge we have found a fabulous sponsor: the winner of this challenge will win a spot in the Mix it up class with Amy Tan!!

Globetrotting fashion and scrapbook designer Amy Tan not only loves to mix up the undertakings of her never-boring career and the scenery through her lens, but her scrapbook pages and projects! In this mini workshop, Amy will teach you how to keep your creativity fresh and exciting by mixing up your supplies, photos and projects. Create perfectly-embellished layouts you love when you use Amy’s tips for mixing up your supplies. Give your layouts an unexpected twist when you vary the sizes and edits of the photos you capture. And finally, prevent creative ruts by changing up the projects you tackle. Follow Amy Tan’s lead and get ready to mix it up!

Let's get started, this is the color scheme for this month
I haven't played a lot with my February kit of Gossamer Blue yet, but the red, yellow and green in it were perfect for this challenge. So I took out the Crate Paper Fourteen collection that was in this kit and found this adorable photo of Phiene and her mommy, which has some red and yellow in it as well.

Crate Paper Fourteen: Be Mine paper, Sparks paper, Love paper, Accent Stickers, Stitched Label
Bazzill White
Red/white Twine
Glassine Bag
Handstitching

I hope you feel inspired by these colors too and play along with us. Share your creation with us on the Life.Paper.Scrapbook blog for your chance to win a spot in Amy Tan's Mix it up class!

Today I have a layout to share that I made just for fun. We already had a lot of fun when this picture was made. I was spending a Saturday afternoon with my two little friends and their Mommy. I used the Amy Tangerine Yes, Please collection that I got at Paper Issues. It was my first order with them, but definitely not the last!
